Payments February

We have created a remittance table to show the funding you should have received in February. Please look at the table below and find the projects relevant to your school to find your date of payments.

  • DfE Core – Final payment of £1,000.00 (2/2)
  • FA School – Final payment of £250.00 (2/2)
  • IYL School – Final payment of £750.00 (2/2)
  • My Personal Best – Final payment of £250.00 (2/2)
  • SOGB Unified Champion Schools – Final payment of £250.00 (2/2)
  • Sport England Lead Inclusion School Core – Final payment of £750.00 (2/2)

Reporting Deadlines

You should receive your unique termly reporting link and county data report this week, so you can start to fill in the survey. A reminder that your reporting is completed cumulatively so should include figures from 1 April 2024 to 28 March 2025. The deadline for this term is Friday 28 March.

Please ensure the survey is fully complete and submitted by this deadline. Any questions, please email [email protected].

Inclusive Health Check and Inclusive Education Hub 

School Games Mark will soon be on the horizon! A reminder to please promote the Inclusive Health Check ahead of time within your counties to allow actions to be implemented into practice before the end of term.

Spotlights

Sky Kidz TV has highlighted the importance of inclusivity in PE and school sport for young people with SEND in their latest episode which spotlights, Emily, a pupil from Sheffield Springs Academy, Lead Inclusion School in South Yorkshire. It was great to showcase the positive impact the school is having on Emily and her school experience. You can watch the story back on the recording here, starting at 4:05.

Park House School in Grimsby, a graduate of the My Personal Best for Alternative Provision programme, was highlighted in an article on BBC news spotlighting the positive impact they’ve had in developing the life skills of their pupils. The article shines a spotlight on the pupils' stories, including Destiny and Summer who are now thriving at Park House after being excluded from mainstream school. You can find the article here.

Lead Inclusion School Monthly Networking Calls

This month’s networking calls will be an open space to share best practice, meet other Lead Inclusion Schools and ask any questions you may have! The Inclusion Team are all doing visits to your projects next Thursday, so there will only be one call on Tuesday for this month.

Teaching Assistants (TAs) Modules

An online course has been released as part of the Inclusion 2024 programme to support TAs in school sports. The course features four videos covering key topics, including the importance of inclusive practice, the role of the TA, and implementing the STEP model.

Designed as an introductory resource with a focus group of Teaching Assistants, this course aims to empower TAs with the confidence and skills needed to create inclusive and engaging PE experiences for all pupils, regardless of their abilities. The course consists of four 5-minute modules with videos from two Lead Inclusion Schools delivering the content.

LimbPower Junior Games Stoke Mandeville - Saturday 10 May

LimbPower junior games is fast approaching on Saturday 10 May 2025 at Stoke Mandeville Stadium. This is a national event and the biggest of its kind for children and young people with amputations and limb difference. Register here.
