Working closely with NEXA, the Youth Sport Trust will identify and recruit local schools and support them through the delivery of YST programmes and products such as Healthy Movers, Active in Mind and My Personal Best, depending on their education phase and need. Programmes will be rolled out from September 2021 with commitment across the next three years.
In the meantime, staff at NEXA are also getting active for spring and fundraising for the Youth Sport Trust by attempting to cover 9000km in 90 days, aiming to raise £9000. These funds will enable the charity to do even more work to help support a generation of happier, healthier young people.
Jamie Gray, NEXA Group Managing Director, said:
“Communities are the lifeblood of society and at NEXA we have been proud to support some incredible charities, and we look forward to focusing that attention and support on Youth Sport Trust who do a fantastic job in delivering well-being packages for children and young adults through the school system. Sport, physical activity, and the general attitude of ‘healthy body = healthy mind’ is a cornerstone of our culture and values at NEXA and we can’t wait to get this partnership underway with Youth Sport Trust.”
James Kyte, Youth Sport Trust Commercial Director, said:
“We are delighted and so grateful that NEXA have chosen to support Youth Sport Trust for the next three years. Their approach of funding projects local to them as well as raising unrestricted funds through their sporting endeavours will help us to reach a large cross section of young people. This support could not come at a more critical time as we work to help schools and young people recover from the ill effects of the challenging past 12 months.”
