Being a Team Leader
I found out about the role because one of my university lecturers recommended it to me as he completed it during his degree. I became a Team Leader as I am passionate about nurturing young people to be the best they can be on and off the sporting field.
This role aligns well with my ambition to empower the next generation of young people to develop a lifetime habit of sport participation. Sport has significantly supported my personal development, and I now want to help individuals from a variety of backgrounds to access the many benefits of physical activity. I have learnt a lot about myself since becoming a Team Leader; I understand my leadership style a lot better now. My interest in sport has grown and become more diverse through watching and being involved in a range of different sports. This role has also helped confirm to me that I want to work in a similar area of sport development in the future.
